Miss Evelyn came to me with her mama, Kristin, who owns Magnolia Studios, for her 1st birthday cake smash session. Kristin sent me a photo of a handmade dress from Miss Lyla Boutique, and I knew I’d make a pretty vintage-y looking set for her baby.
Some families add a milk bath session at the end of the cake smash as an added element to their photo galleries.
Evelyn took a few minutes to warm up to me, as most kiddos do. However, once she was comfortable, and gave us some of the best and most ornery smiles!
I love this wash bowl, and I use it often for milk baths. However, it’s super cute just to have babes sit in! This gave us a chic-meets-boho look.
Then, it was time to cake! Kristin made this naked cake herself! It had to have been the prettiest cake I’ve photographed, worthy of even a wedding! Kristin, if you’re looking for a side hustle, this might be it!
Cake smashes can go so many ways, but Evelyn’s went well! She had no problem diving into the cake, and she seemed to really love it!
